My time at DCM fell mainly between the years of 1990-1995 where I was privileged to play not just to “another club crowd” but many who I considered family. On Thursdays “Late Night Shopping” and Saturday nights the DCM family would gather and dance the night away. Those days I played a set from 11pm to 6,7 or 8am depending on how pumping and up for it the crowd was.
During those 5 years many anthems were born that became more than just a memory but a real soundtrack to a generation of DCM clubbers.
This mix tries to capture some of the biggest tunes of that era. Of course, this is but a small sample of the many tunes I could have added to a retro mix to celebrate not just a club, but the lifestyle that was DCM.
Enjoy this repost.
